What Is Cerakote?
Cerakote is a Polymer-Ceramic Composite coating that can be applied to metals, plastics, polymers and wood. The unique formulation used for Cerakote ceramic coating enhances a number of physical performance properties including abrasion/wear resistance, corrosion resistance, chemical resistance, impact strength, and hardness. Each of these properties is rigorously tested to guarantee that Cerakote products remain at the forefront of the ceramic coatings market. Cerakote ceramic coatings utilize state-of-the-art technology to out-perform any competitive coating in both laboratory settings and real world applications.
Besides Cerakotes physical properties and benefits another reason to have your firearm or part cerakoted is that it can change its look and aesthetics. Using multiple colors, artistic techniques and stencil work I transform my customers projects in to custom pieces of useable artwork.

Additional Services
Stippling
Stippling is the mechanical art of changing the grip texture
on a firearm with a polymer grip. If your firearms frame is polymer it can be
stippled to create a more adhesive grip texture.
Firearm Sales
I work with multiple distributors to find almost any firearm for my customers. I provide transfers in the State of Maryland or can ship your new firearm to any other FFL in the country.
How To Send Me Your Firearms
Because Tommygun Customs is a type 01 FFL (gunsmith) I can legally take possession of your firearm, customize it and mail it directly back to your home without any other FFL‘s or transfers required.
Once you’ve contacted me and we define exactly what type of customization you’re in need of, you can mail me your firearm (as well as a printed picture of your state ID) via USPS for long guns or UPS/FedEx for pistols or long guns (See each provider‘s rules for shipping firearms).
From there I’ll customize your firearm and ship it directly back to your home with signature and insurance. It’s that easy.
